Tara received her Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. Her studies included courses such as dental radiography, oral pathology, dental hygiene research, community oral health, theory and treatment of periodontal disease, and dental hygiene theory and clinical practice. She was inducted into Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene honor society, and also received the Hu- Friedy award for clinical excellence.
After graduating in 1987, Tara worked in general practice for two years and then joined our staff June of 1989.
Since joining our staff, Tara has raised the standards of our hygiene department. She has redesigned and now manages our soft tissue program, which includes diagnosis and treatment of gum problems. Tara is an avid course taker and has attended practically every significant postgraduate course in hygiene available. You will find Tara to be very gentle. She has a true, genuine interest in our patients and individualizes her recommendations and treatment to the specific needs of our clients.
On a personal note, a native New Yorker, Tara presently resides in Duchess County with her husband Craig, son Scott and daughter Lily. Her interests include nutrition, health and fitness. She enjoys cooking, movies, crafts and spending time with family and friends. She is active in her children's schools and activities. |
